I’m writing to thank you for all your help with the Book Shelter last week. As you’ll have seen, we had a royal visit yesterday, celebrating our Welsh connections, and a key part of the visit was to display the Red Book of Hergest, our most important Welsh manuscript.
The shelter made it possible to display the Red Book safely yet with a minimal barrier between the audience and the manuscript. Several people commented on the elegant design. A few people couldn’t resist touching it but a microfibre cloth quickly removed their prints! I’m attaching photos for your interest (and which you’re welcome to share with credit to Jesus College).
I must also thank you for the efforts you made to deliver the shelter to us in good time, and the attention to detail in its packaging (you can see the Plastazote sheet in use underneath the shelter).
